After most of the events of Megaman NT Warrior, Lan and his friends live in peace in Dentech City. Until that is, a mysterious tournament's name called the Forte Cup begins to pop up all over, and nobody knows why. It seems to be an official tournament but it's sponsers won't give out names or why this is being funded.
However in the grand prize the person gets whatever he/she desires, causing net-battlers old and new to draw over to this tournament. The requirements of entry for the Forte Cup? None. Beginners to pros can enter in his challenge for some strange reason. Lan and his faithful net navi Megaman investigate along with the other net savers only to find that other net battlers like themselves can crossfuse with their navis to make the tournament all the harder. And what happens if a player loses? None of the characters know that the people in the tournament suffer at the fun with being hospitalized or kidnapped. If Lan and his friends win, at what cost would it be?
