That's exactly what happened at American Airlines when a flight attendant asked a passenger to get off the plane. But the crew on that plane wouldn't let her board, and she was soon surrounded by airport police because staff thought she was " incomprehensible . The airline's policy did allow for the instrument and she would have been able to fly on the original plane. How would I handle this situation? This situation illustrates why having a dedicated CSM leaders are so important. If your company has many policies, protocols, and rules, your employees should know each one by heart. If not, you should at least have a manager who can serve as an immediate resource whenever such disputes arise.
